Been a little while since I posted one of my horns, so here we go!

This is a polychrome (color added) with 12 figures engraved on it including a large heart, snake, native American, deer, rifleman loading his long gun, ship, morning glory bloom, sun face, turtle, moon and tree with birds in it. All figures and the line bordering design are from several individual original powder horns. I gave the horn a used, but not abused finish, for an old timey look and feel.

Thanks for looking,
Rick

Every time I see a post title for a new horn from you I groan with sorrow. :(
One, because I won't be able to call it mine.
Two, because I lack the talent to match your work.
Happened again with this one.
Outstanding.

Thanks for all of the nice comments. They are appreciated very much and encouraging me to keep working on my horning skills.

Rifleman- Never cut your trap line short, as we all do what we can, with the skills we practice.

MSW- Ritberries? Is that the name of a new cereal? __ Don't know what that is. I use ink for poly-chrome work!

that's one of the many reasons why your work looks so much better than mine!

:hatsoff:

You really have a great talent! That is a beautiful piece of art.

Your horns look great.
I have a book on making a horn but as for the art work my son that lives in Florida is the artist in the family.
