checking out one site they suggested changing factory nipples to ampco nipples better made longer lasting take #11 caps ???

Although they seem to have a following I have never had any problem with cao locks or C&B revolvers caused by nipples. When I need replacements I get them from Track of Wolves. They are very reasonable priced and last a lot of shots. I shoot matches and some use them ant the hot shot nipples. It still seems to boil down to the shooters skill. I hear that they last longer but I change mine every 2 years or so and I do so knowing that they are probably fine. Geo. T.

Factory nipples have served me well except for my Ruger Old Army. The standard hex nipples were awful but the ampco replacements work great.
