The new guy here. This looks like the place to be for muzzle loading info. I look forward to lurking and talking on the site, as I have a new found interest in muzzle loading. I find myself strangely curious about flintlocks...

Hey Fog,
If it wasn't said, be sure to wear eye protection. I have a high speed photo of the flint falling out of the lock during ignition because the cock screw backed off. I had always thought it just fell out. Not so! The photo shows it rocketing straight up. Made me stop and think.
