Beautiful, 58 degrees when I got up, drove to the range and was shooting by 9:00am...40 shots on the same flint and no wiping...barrel is soaking in a 5 gallon bucket of hot soapy water right now, couldn't have had a better range trip.

PS: Personally tested Hornady 285grn Great Plains conicals in the 1:66" barrel and the best they would do was 4" at 25 yards, confirming to myself what I'd always heard that long-ish type conicals don't do well in slow twist barrels.

Got no interest in going out and freezing my tail off for something I don't eat. After deer and squirrel season are over, the rest of winter is a waste. Just my opinion. ::
