Going through an old shed I found a milk crate full of rusty treasure; chains, hooks, large bolts, garden tools and this,,

I was going to sand it completely down and refinish it, but after a few minutes of cleaning it looks like this,,

I like authentic patina, so I’m going to leave it as is. It only took a couple of strokes on a sharpening stone to get an edge that will shave you! I need to make a sheath for it.

I don’t know anything about it except that it’s an old butcher knife. The only markings I can find on it are the diamond shapes on the blade. Maybe someone here knows more about it.

Have and/or had one with the same kind of diamond pattern it was marked by Queen Cutlery.
Would look for it, but, got a couple of very busy weeks about to kick off.
