hello in the camp: i have seen alot of articles on the cva mnt. rifle on this forum. i thought i would throw another log on the fire, back in 1999 or 2000
i was working for a local gun shop and i saw in one
of our wholesale catalogs, i believe it was accusport or ellet bros. a new cva mnt. rifle .50cal so i orderd one. when it came in, it was a beautiful gun. it shoots every bit as good as it looks. i have shot many groups with round ball and horn. pa hunter bullets of three quarter inch @ 75 yards
the gun specs are: made in the u.s.a, a 31 inch
browned bbl., browned trigger guard, lockplate, nose cap, patch box, toe plate and buttplate, wedge pin plates are germen silver rear sight is a long semi bukhorn screw adjustible verticle drift horizantal, front sight is german silver blade, it also has maple stock that the older
it gets the more beautiful it gets. i know this is alot of info i just thought you all would like to see what i have. thank you all

good hunting and God bless

A little known secret is that you can still equip yourself with the equivalent of the CVA Mountain rifle from Deer Creek with all new (old stock) parts. They sold their version fully assembled for awhile. I believe the only difference was the trigger guard.
