The village of Hamburg, (pop. about 90 people full time residents) Calhoun County is where I hang my hat. I know Berry well, went to a few of their gun shows, I'll check on the BP groups, would be nice.

The wife is from just south of Batchtown. These days we get to Summit Grove area just north of you about once a year to her cousins place. Occasionally to Hardin to eat at The Riverdock. Really like being down in the county.

Great place to live if you like a slow life

@trader47, welcome from across and down the river. You are here just in time to drive about 100 miles south to attend the June Rendezvous at Fort de Chartres on June 4th and 5th. It's a big event here in the Illinois country. Time to see what you have been missing from the rendezvous scene. Drive to the Fort. It's just outside of Prairie du Rocher off Illinois 3.

Google says 120 miles south, will try to make it, sounds like fun!

Watch out, that retirement is not always what it cracked up to be. We grow too old too quickly to enjoy it.
