Hope you enjoy, questions comments and critiques are always welcome!

sweet nice balance n look, Gus I've always been curious, how do you attach the antler tips on a horn like that, is it glued, pressure fit, threaded somehow. If its threaded, my best guess, what the heck do ya used to cut the threads, machine threads are to fine aren't they Thanks YMHS Birdman :hmm:

Birdman this is an applied tip. what I do (others have their own methods!) is turn the tip about the size I'm looking for, then take and essentially countersink a larger hole into the antler then fit it to the the horn and ensure all is right with the world :haha: . then I glue the the tip to the horn, drill a pair of holes on opposite sides of it and pin it on with some wooden pegs (modern termonoligy = toothpicks!)should any gaps or whatever be discovered after the fact...this does happen time to time, I reglue to ensure an airtight seal for the tip.

everyone else!- Thanks! that really means alot coming from you guys! I appreciate it!

Gus, thanks for the post!

That's a great looking horn, and i appreciate the description of how the tip gets attached (i've read a description of how to do it with threads, and it looks more than a little bit challenging- i'll go with the much simpler method you describe).

Merry Christmas!
