Howdy all,

My name is Pete, I'm new here. I'm not new to muzzleloading though, built my first "kit gun" when I was a teenager a couple of decades ago, since then my collection has gotten a little out of hand.

I am an NRA black powder instructor, and am immersed in flintlocks all day long, seven days a week as the owner of the Middlesex Village Trading Co.

I'm from Massachusetts, but moved to NH a few years back where we can live a little more frontier-like by raising our own meat and being able to shoot in my own backyard.

I'm married and have a little girl who touched off her first flintlock at age 4.

I hope to make a few friends here and throw my own $.02 in to a few lively discussions!

I suppose I should add that I'm into French and Indian War reenacting, have done my share of RevWar reenacting, and also done the requisite Fur Trade rendezvous stuff.

If it goes bang, I've probably shot one. Cap-n-ball revolvers, caplock and flintlock rifles, flint smoothbores, cannons, military rifles; anything from a matchlock up through belt-feds from WW2.

My wife is quite tolerant of my lifestyle, and has made her peace with the fact that I have more living-history clothes than modern ones.

buspete,
Welcome to the MLF,great to have you with us.

around here.Visit often and contribute when you
can.
I am snake-eyes:hatsoff:

Hi Pete,

Where in NH do you live? I live in Laconia and am always looking for someone else who appreciates BP shooting. My current shooting friends are great guys but think BP guns are just a quaint hobby and a pain in the back side to maintain.

Don

Wow!

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you should fit right in here.

I'm sure your opinion on a lot of questions will be highly valued.

See you around camp,
Doc

Don, we are in Charlestown, which is just south of Claremont, over on the NH/VT line. We were in Laconia a week ago for a different hobby LOL.

Man, do I ever miss bike week

Lots of nice bikes (and often other things) to check out :shocked2:

I made it to Charleston, NH in early June this year to visit the Fort at #4.

What a great town and cool fort.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a trip in the area.

Doc

Welcome,

I'm from NH myself. I've started to get into BP again after a 10 year hiatus. I live in the southern part of the state, near the Mass border.

Brian
