I just took mine apart. This is the part that looked different?

I will take any pictures that you would like if you think it would help you identify what you have.

I believe that the Prussian 1809 muskets were made in more then one town, hence some difference in some?

Thanks, but that will not be necessary (taking more pics) I'm pretty sure it's the 1809. The only thing at all I can find different is that sight located atop the breech. But I've seen an 1809 that didn't have it. these muskets are all so much the same and yet so different. I going to try to remove some rust and see if I can find anymore markings.
 
Perhaps you are already aware of this but because during the Civil War many out of date older guns were bought in Europe and imported for use by both sides.
This could easily explain how a "out of date" European gun converted to percussion got into this country and became "great grandfathers gun".
