I finished this a month ago, just never got around to taking pictures. I stained the stock with Aqua Fortis and Chambers oil. Carved some molding lines on the buttstock and forearm, and a simple tang carving. The brass was finished and touched with Ospho Blue and dirty patches to darken. Disassembled the lock, polished and hit with Ospho Blue and rubbed back with steel wool. I put the brass end on the patch box lid, it was provided so why not use it. The barrel was rust browned with LMF solution. I filed a "fence" on the side plate to mimic the Berks county rifles of old (I've lived in Berks County my whole life and that's where I assembled this rifle). Aside from the kit provisions, I inlayed the hunters star, added a brass tip to the ram rod, and a toe plate. It weighs in a tick under 8lbs. She balances nicely, and shoots great, nice tight groups at 50yds. Can't wait for the hunting season to roll around to put her to good use. Tip of the hat to Kibler for a great kit!
