This is a very shootable antique .40 halfstock percussion rifle. It has obviously been used in the modern era based on sights, modern nipple and leather thong to protect nipple. The bore in the 28" barrel was heavily greased. Rifling is good and there is minor pitting throughout which probably predates its modern use. Twist around 1:55ish. Bore measures .405/.415. The stock is solid with a few dings and chips (see photos), but no cracks. LOP is 12 5/8". Double set triggers work fine. Rifle weighs 6.7 lbs. $400 + Shipping.
