this axe pistl and blunderbuss were passed down to my mother from my great grandfather after he baought them in istanbul. they are both heavily engraved with mother of pearl and silver inlay.
the axe pistol i have seen in one of my gun books but it only says that it was a "balkans axe-pistol" and doesnt give much information. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk138/hannahf109/guns2013.jpg

Those are gorgeous. It's nice that they have family history like that too. I'd love to see more pictures when you have time. Maybe a couple closeups. Thanks.

i took some closeups but they came out blurry, gotta have my sis' teach me to use her camera. tommorow i will try to get some more pics.

Beautiful pistols. It would be nice to see a few more closeups if you could find the time. Does the axe head get in the way of the sights, or is it below the line-of-sight picture?

it stays just below the sighting picture, although it still would be distracting.

Would it ruin the value to maybe soak those locks in some warm breakfree for a bit??

Ya know just to get em movin...Not shooting just movin??

I think there really beautiful, they would look really nice cleaned up in a case lined with silk all fancy.
Then future generations can enjoy them as much as you!

Cheers
