Do you have the bindings that hold the snowshoes on your boots?
... sad to say but they need serious repair ...

i love snowshoes. hanging on the wall, hanging over the front door, hanging on the shed gable. on my feet? not this old duck!

I believe that style to be "Bear Paw" showshoes, very good for brush areas, and deep snow.

Buds are pretty easy to make. Just get yourself some manila or Sissel rope. It works real good or you could use Lampwick.
