Howdy folks, Two Feathers here:

I’d like to thank all the folks who added their $0.02 to my post about Powder measure accuracy. I got a lot of response. In fact, I’m almost sorry that I asked. I think I opened up a can of worms?

I’ve decided; that after checking myself, and my measures, I’m sooo close it isn’t worth talking about. With my Digital scale; my 60 gr. Measure measures 60.2 grs. with 2FF Goex. I doubt that discrepancy will upset the delicate balance of nature?

Anyway, here’s a powder measure for sale. It holds 60 grains to the top of the inside hole, if you fill it all the way to the top of the pour spot it holds 61 grs. Anyone out there THAT picky?

The price is $15.00 + $4.00 s&h USD$ to the lower 48 states.

The measure is made (and calibrated by me ) to be 100% accurate with 2FF Goex real Black powder.

She ain’t purdy, but if you want an item that looks like it came out of the Fur Trade Era then this one looks the part. It’s made from an Elk antler brow tine. It looks rough, but it’s been sanded. I tried to leave as much of the natural striations on it as possible for authenticity. It has a thong hole drilled for tying to your shooting bag, or hanging round your neck or. But you can just toss it in your bag too. I’ll be making more measures in the future, but don’t use that as an excuse to let this one get away.

Get this one before your next shoot, rendezvous, or encampment. This measure is NOT signed. I have no way of signing it, I’m sorry.

I ship/sell to Canada, but all prices are in USD$ to the lower 48 states. Shipping outside the US is costly. Please PM for OTUS prices.

I prefer PayPal friends and family, but take postal or bank money orders and checks. MO’s will add 1 week for travel time. Checks will add 2 weeks for travel time and bank clearance. I ship same day as funds are received, exceptions are Federal holidays, Sundays, PO hours, and severe weather.

As always, thanks for looking.

God bless:

Two Feathers

Just an observation for others (new to BP) reading your post, powder is measured by VOLUME not by weight normally, after a volume load has been established you can pre-pack loads using a scale to match your volume load. Load is subject to change if another "F" grade is used.

I certainly understand and agree with your assessment, however, I've based my measurements on, not only my scale, but an accurate Powder Measure designed and manufactured just for Black Powder. Whether the 2FF is used or another powder grain size, this measure from the manufacturer should(?) be accurate for either. I never saw a BP measure that stated "this is ONLY for 2FF powder?" I understand by your logic, that SHOULD be the case, but I don't think most BP shooters are THAT tremendously concerned about a difference of .1 or some qty. close to that in their load?
Thank you for the reply.
Respectfully:

It's here whenever you want it.
If you want a different charge size; just let me know. I can make you whatever you want; within reason. I have a beautiful 120 grain here, but I'm not sure how many (if any) guys shoot that heavy a charge?🙀 Mull it over, I'll wait. 🤔
God bless:
