Just curious if any one has done any streightening of antlers for knife handles and such. I'm curious in pics of what you use to hold it as the antler dries. I've checked out the Antler straightening 101 but am unable to get any pics of thier streighteners.

I am not so sure an antler could be straighten, it's not the same material as a animal's horn...

I think it's more luck of the draw to find a straight section of antler than anything else...

I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying that I haven't seen a way to do this yet, that's all...
 
Could ya post where ya read the Straightening 101 ya mentioned. I would love to read it myself. Always been curious as to if ya could straighten out antler a bit if ya needed to. I heard somewhere that ya can maybe use a vinager solution of sorts but have never actually read it anywhere.
