I have finaly started to work on this project.
My son loves all Military firearms and to make a long story short.
I am fitting a euro arms 1841 mississippi barrel into a rifle shope Brunswick pre-inletted walnut stock. I am going to use an L&R backaction lock, fit a shotgun stye trigger in it and use the 1841 mississippi trigger guard modified.
Make my own patch box and thimbles and use pins instead of the wedge keys the oringinal had.
I only have a couple of small pictures of the weapon.
Does any of our british members have any pictures that I might have to use as a guide.

Check out this Brunswick Found it by searching google under "brittish brunswick musket. You can click on the pics to enlarge then right click and save them to yer puter. hope this helps Bill. PS, also found a pic of the strange musket ball it fired in the two grooove barrel. Click on the word Brunswick to go there. Here's another second brunswick

Also I'm not from over there. I'm a colonist just like you, but yer quest intrigued me, and I thought I'd see if I could help. It's gonna be an interesting piece to build. Post pic's of yer progress. Bill

thanks,
I have been working on it for the last few days..
It's going to be as close as I can get it..
It's an old rilfe shope project from HECK.. It was going to use their stuf, but Matt,-my son- balked at the price and the delievery..
I had an old euro arms rifle that I have haven't shot in years,so.
As long as the hammer lines up with the nipple I think it will work.
It has the most beautiful black walnut stcok I have seen.. It's so dark that it is amost purple.
By the way, I clicked on one of the buttons to make the picture biger and it took me to a porn site..
Not good,

Porn site???? I went back and tried all the pics, and couldn't get sent to another site. Darn  They all worked correctly for me. Those should be good enough pic's to use on yer build. Bill

I kid you not!
I was at work!!!! and the IT guy was moving some stuff around. It sure did suprise me  :)
I surely don't want to get fired, otherwise I couldn't afford to buy kits.
I love the pictures of the brunswick. They are just what I am looking for. I am having a bear of a time getting the barrel/tang to seat.
These tell me I have plently of wood to work with. I am a "newbi" and I want too leave to much wood between the parts.

Hey Bill,
I got the barrel/tang inletted and soldered on the underlugs and have the barrel pins installed.
The pictures helped.
The lock, breech isn't quite going to line up.. I am going to have to "tweek" it a little.
That's half the fun in making one.
have a problem and then figure out a fix.
Will get some pictures as soon as possible

Hey, Bill thanks alot.
I have the barrel/tang inletted. The tag is not going to be as wide, but what the heck. I have the lock in.. TRS has the best inletted stock I have seen yet.The wood is a dark walnut and it's going to finsh up shinny and dark,
They don't quite line up.. knew they wouldn't, there is a large gap between them..the lock and the breech plug. I have a friend with a MIG wire fed welder and I am going to have him add a little metal to the lock, then I can file it so it mates up, like the oringinal.
I have modifed the Euro Miss's trigger guard and it's not going to be exact, but close...
I found a butplate that is a dead ringer for an oringainl and the pictures of the patch box are going to be invaluabe.
i can make my own thimbles
Do you have any idea how I could make an endcap like an oringianl?
I have a british fowler endcap, but it doensn't have the bottom lip.

I have this rifle 99% done.. I will get some pictures posted. It looks OK. Better then my first one.
I just need to tweak the hammer a little and weld the bayonet lug on. That's going to be done tonight and then brown the barrel. Shes done. The grreat pictures were invaluble.
