Hello all. New to this site, but not guns. inherited this rifle that belonged to my Grandfather. Does anyone have any idea what model it is or who made it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

That is a really fine rifle and appears to be in excellent condition. If original it must have been their version of a modern "safe queen".

look for any marks under the barrel
can we see the bore and any proof marks?

look under the but plate, sometimes rifles have a paper with a time made and maker hidden under the plate if they are a home made gun

grand pa....what was his generation and any idea when he got it? That could help narrow it down.

My gun had his name and the town on the top flat of the barrel, near the rear sight. It’s faint, but shows more clearly if a light coat of oil is applied.
