Shifty- Your instructions are quite clear. Sounds like something I can do this winter. Inside, of course, where it's nice & warm.
It's been time since I worked on an engine, but IIRC valve grinding compound comes in more then one grit. I assume you mean 'fine'.

However, go try your own experiments and report back. We might all learn something pro or con.

I forgot to mention, I would have to think the wad did solve the FTF, problem I had twice when not getting a hunting shot till the end of the day. But then learning how to properly lube a patch did the same thing. I have not had a FTF since learning to use a 7:1 water / Ballistol pretreat, let dry, after switching from too much bore butter. Stopped using wads.
