I might call Bob on Monday but I was just curious.

The .58 flinter I have sparks so well, I might just get another barrel for it in .54. I wonder how much he'd charge to make me a 27 inch (pure on replacement Renegade barrel) in .54 flintlock?

Personally I don't have one but Hoyt makes excellent barrels that I know Mike Brooks ans many other builders have ordered and used. Never seen a bad thing said about his work.

I hav a 44'' 45 cal Hoyt barrel on my rifle that is very accurate, and i hav a 36 cal he made that looks like it will be a good barrel when i get around to makin a stock for it.

yes, a .54. A friend and I ordered 2 identical Hoyt barrels. His is built up and he shoots it well enough to bring home prizes. Mine is not built yet but running a patch through it tells me it's going to be a shooter.

Have seen a few jobs done by Mr. Hoyt.
His work is excellent.
Sure hope Sandy doesn't mess with him.

I am having .54 made too. Sandy knocked out power for my area. About to venture out, cabin fever you know?

Greg I have a 40 caliber Getz barrel with Bobby.s gain twist rifling and it shoots real good . Curt

Wonderful! I am excited, never had anything made for a gun before. Probably just get it made for balls only, .54 seems to kill anything with just PRB.

Get him to recut that rip off .54 Hawken too......guess I'll try and salvage her or turn her into a .58.

My Brooks Carolina Gun has a 47+ inch long barrel made by Bob. Looks to be well made, no issues here, go for it. If Mike Brooks uses them you know they are top notch.

I have a 50 5/16" in .46 cal and 54 1/4" in .55 cal made by Bob and won't hesitate to have him make more. Good barrels.

I have several Musket barrels by Bob Hoyt, and have had two Gallagher Carbines relined by him. His work is top-notch. I have a Euroarms 1841 Mississippi rifle barrel at his shop now to be relined.

20 years ago, I had Mr. Hoyt rebore an original Tyrolean target muzzle loader. Took it from 40 cal to 45 cal. No complaints

Wow. 20 years ago.....

After Tuesday though, I am considering only ammo purchases for awhile. I had my hopes up, surely like many.
