Now looking to find the equipment I need for the war of 1812
Any good sites

What are you trying to emulate? I do war of 1812/early 19th century.

I will doing War of 1812 with Fort Meigs in Perrysburg Ohio
I will be a member of the Ohio militia

If you're going to get involved with an organized group, it's best to go through them to help you get equipped.

this Association make there own uniforms.
Just found out they have a sew tomorrow now my wife wants to get involved.

Fort Meigs is a great site. I played there for years before moving west. I never was part of an organized group,I ran with a bunch of guys that didn't either. It can be great fun there. But like anywhere else you will run into know-it-alls, elitests, and all around pains, but past that it is a great place....
