I was wondering this myself. Recently I found Schutzen for $23 a pound. The same place offers the Swiss powder for $32 a pound.
I plan on ordering a couple of pounds. Do you guys think the Swiss is good enough that I should spend 10 more dollars a pound?
That's really a matter of personal perception and will probably vary from shooter to shooter.
At one time I had on hand goex 2f & 3f, grafs, swiss, elephant, Pyrodex and Scheutzen. Swiss undoubtedly shot faster than all ( all were chronographed). I originally got the Swiss for cartridge and it was excellent but I'm just a hunter so it wasn't a necessary increment.
I didn't notice any special accuracy differences between any of the powders. I've been using Scheutzen for a few years now and am satisfied with it. When the "new" Goex by Estes comes out I'll try some. I'm pretty sure it will be a whole different product and am ready to switch if it suits me.
