Hey guys. Going to ask for your opnion as I know nearly nothing about these guns thus far. Browsing the local pages, ran across this revolver. I've been looking at the Pietta 1858 New Army, but this caught my eye. Gentleman stated he obtained it from hsi boss, hasn't fired it, and just wants to sell it.
He has three tins of primers, a holster, some powder and patches, a couple tubes of patch lube and a primer holder (his words) and stated he would knock it down to $200.
Is this gun worth the $200? And if so, what should I check for when looking at the gun (besides lock up like a normal revolver). Any typical wear/tear from people doing dumb things with these revolvers?
Thanks for the help
ASM Colt 1847 Walker
