I am new on this forum but shoot black powder guns for more decades than I care to admit.

I have several Pedersoli perkussion pistols, a Le Page and a Charles Moore, as well as a Pedersoli Plainsman rifle in .45.

I am shooting my Armi Sport Le Page lately and find the set trigger excellent and prefer its characteristics slightly over the Charles Moore. The stock has been polished and has a dozen handrubbed coating of Scherrel's Schaftol and Balsin Schaftöl on it.

It is accurate and well balanced.

Lovely looking gun, I shoot the Pedersoli version but yours looks shorter in the grip which would be a bonus. I have an original Dutch percussion target pistol with double set triggers, I find them a bit harder to master compared to the single set. Also, the only time I have had a 'accidental discharge' was with the double set!!

Where are my manners, meant to say welcome to the forum!

The Le page is my dream pistol. But right now more than I can afford. I recently watched a decent one go on gun broker for about $535.00 or something like that, I really should have jumped on that one but I was afraid the biding would just keep climbing so I let somebody else get a heck of a deal. Anyway that is one classy looking pistol and I bet it shoots as good as it looks! :hatsoff:

They are a lovely looking gun. I am looking at one at the moment $A450, I shoot a Traditions 50 cal at present but find the trigger just that much too far away for me. How does your sit? Not that I have giant or small hands, just feels awkward.

I had one. The “bolster” just screws into the barrel like a regular drum. It’s LEFT hand thread. I had to remove mine because the threaded part stuck out too far into the bore. It was stopping the cleaning patch from reaching the breech, and it rusted.
