Bought a mountain rifle, sent it back because of defects in stock and it looked like they put the rear buckhorn site in using a chisel. Waited 8 weeks, the rear dovetail still has metal rolled up on the edges, has a dent in the bottom of the stock, took the barrel of to clean it and the wood between the barrel and the lock is just about completely busted out, going to try to glue it together. This was my first and last A&H.

Dang - Sorry about the bad luck. I was about half looking at an A&H Mountain - guess this takes that one off of the list! Thanks for sharing your bad experience.

I think I own every brand of traditional ML rifle made by a modern maker - Lyman, T/C, CVA, Navy arms. But after heaing nothing but negative feedback regarding the A&H line of traditional rifles over the past few years, I'm not about to purchase one. For a factory gun with a not-so-cheap price tag, it's a shame they can't make a better gun and provide better customer service. Makes one truly appreciate Thompson Center all the more. Just my 2 cents.

Hunt up a guy named Rattus on the HuntAmerica board and tell him your story. He may be able to help.

As I mentioned on your other post about this, if the stock is busted as you describe, it sounds like it might be shipping damage.
If it was dropped or mis-handled in transite, the shipping insurance it undoubtedly had would pay for a new stock.

I would suggest you contact them by phone and tell them about the condition of your gun.
