I have a Provo Utah marked one that is a real great shooter and is dead-on accurate. My lock is very dependable.
Just goes to show...

For what its worth....... There has been a A&H .50 Cal flintlock for sale for over three years by a seller who hits all the local gun shows. He is asking $675.

I don't know if the gun is a Weston or a Provo but it seems nicely made and the fit and finish is very good. It feels very light, even compared to my trade rifle. $329 sounds awfully good for one.

When A&H went out of business I picked up a percussion complete and flint set of parts for $250. I could interchange the barrels and locks and had a spare set of triggers and all the metal parts. I traded it off a few years ago in this forum. Both setups were fine shooters, quite reliable and bang on accurate. Also very front heavy. The wood in the stock cracked by the rear lock bolt. It was easy to epoxy up and didn't show any other signs of trouble. I've heard others say they've had problems with weak wood. Whenever I see one for sale I really get the itch to have it. They are nice looking guns and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another at a good price.

I had a chance to buy a 50 caliber A\H in percussion at a show a couple of weeks ago. Seller was asking 300 dollars for it. My biggest reason for not jumping on it was the problem of finding parts when needed.
