Well iv'e been working on a new horn for a new rifle, I spent way to mutch time on the butt plug but it came out perfect no gap anyware shaped just the way I wanted it and the grain in the wood was great, stained it yesterday morning before work when I checked it at lunch time the stain hadent dryed compleatly so to make sure it was dry enough to rub in a coat of beeswax I set it on the rail of the deck to dry, when I got home after work IT WAS GONE then saw my wifes dog chewing on something and yes that was it so mad as heck went into the shop to start another one and ran my finger into the bandsaw blade two and a half hours later we got back from the emergancy room and this was all before supper so I just sat down and watched tv the rest of the nite figgured ill start the plug in a few days.

Its bured deep and quiet .. deep 'n quiet! :shocked2:

on the bright side ,the plug wasnt attached to the horn, so he didnt chew it up. :v but still sucks

had that happen to me once. bought a nice calico jack haversack, washed it, hung it out to dry and it vanished overnight. good thing about it tho my wife learned to make them and made me a fine replacement

Well the finger is healing nicely and the stitches come out in about a week the dog is even trying to make up, the next plug will be made from an aspin log I picked up this weekend and wont be left in reach of that lab.

I feel for ya man! My dog thought that an antler I was working on for a priming horn was a chew toy! :cursing: My wife wouldn't forgive me if I did anything to that mutt... :nono: :blah:
