Jock: Your craftsmanship is just outstanding. The only thing I note that clashes with the flintlock is the use of brass rings to connect bag and strap. I might very well be all wet, but thought I had read somewhere that this is a 19th-century development.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm not trying to be a stitch nazi here, so please take it in the intended spirit. I don't know what you had in mind when you started this project; some folks' primary concern is historic authenticity, while others' is to creatively fabricate a useful accessory in the "spirit of the times." Both approaches are perfectly valid.
A very, very nice bag and horn set.
 
Hard to criticize, very beautiful both items.
Gun ain't no dog neither.
I tiny critique. I prefer a weighted flap over the strap and buckle affair. Hard to do the buckle with one hand, especially when in a hurry.
