Heres a little knife i made the other day to go on my bag, the blade is about 4 3/4'' forged from an old hayrake tine.

That's a really classy knife! Outfit's great too.

I have become a fan of "bag" knives. Had problems with them hanging in our dense brush no matter where I hung them on the outside of the bag. Ended up sewing a sheath inside, and that was better. Lately I've been just putting the knives in belt sheaths, then dropping the sheath and all loose into the bags. That works best for me, but it all comes down to a knife that's small enough to fit inside the bag.

I like it! How long was the tine before the forging or did you just forge a chunk and cut it off where you wanted? What is the handle material? Mike D.

thanks guys. The pins are iron, i guess the glare off the handle makes them look yellow. The blade was forged from a long peice &cut off, but probably only about 3 or 4 inches is needed for a knife like this with a half tang.
