I made this hunting/shooting possibles bag, several years ago, from a hide & boughten buckle

(Those are pipe cleaners, hung over the inside pocket, below - handy for field cleaning)

Then, this year I made a fancey-ful bag for rondy-voo from a leather shoulder bag.

Heck - I might even take it hunting this year, since my state has a Hunter Orange requiremant anyway.

I like the first bag ,more like the real thing I.M.M.H.O.,I made one years ago out of a swade Tandy shoulder bag,,turned it inside out, looks real bad,,,, but it got the job done, underhammer got to have one,,been looking ,,,no joy,,,,
When your in the Hunter Orange,I just lay real still and make a noise like a pumpkin,,or a very big carrot,,deer like pumpkins/carrots,,when they show up,, you shoot them. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Very nice kit, I have an orange strap just like that one, it's not in use yet.
I'd say you like Ruger's. Me, too.

I'm a Ruger accumulator too.

I'm making my second pouch now and like your design as well as any I have seen so far. Very practical with the different compartments.

Good job!

Dan

Thanks for the kind words - I sorta followed a bag making tutorial in one of the Foxfire books, and sewed the older bag up, inside-out.

I added a divided, half-depth pocket to the inside rear wall of the main pouch/pocket (and the full-width strap hanger), and a 2nd layer across the outside of the front wall of the main pouch/pocket for and exterior pocket - all before I started sewing the front/back pouch walls to the gusset with a very heavy waxed linen thread similar to saddle stitching thread.
