Some time ago I bought a ball bag (or bullet Bag) from a maker here on this forum. I now find I need a bigger ball size bag for another rifle. I did a search and could not find anyone who makes ball bags. The bag I bought from this maker I am trying to find made a very good bag and I was well pleased with it. If someone knows or can direct me to some makers I would thank you very much. The bottom of the bag was leather and the spout was turned from bone or antler. Thanks for any help.

I'd imagine it was cuttfingers too. I'm a repeat customer of his and have always been happy with what I received.

Can you post a picture of the bag you had made? That would help narrow down the maker.

They are easy to make yerself unless you want fancy. There used to be some wood spout with plugs sold for the purpose. I have used and they are fine. I have also used just a hunk of thick leather for the spout and plugged with a whittled stick. The pouch can be as simple or fancy as you want, almost any shape will work.

cutfingers has one for sale now in the classifieds that will accommodate .600 caliber balls.

There was a gentleman from Wyoming named Ray Ferree that sold rawhide ball bags and a booklet on how to make them in the classifieds here for many years. I bought both a bag and the booklet from him. He was a good man.

I have 2 of them, they are nice, he has not posted here in a long time.

cutfingers are superior to his, I especially like his turtle bag.

I would go to the 'classifieds', scroll down to 'shooting accessories for sale', scroll down to the day bag he has for sale, click on his user name & send him a message.
