BALL STARTER

Based on this information provided on this forum by Spence 10 on 5-27-17:
_Scloppetaria:_ by Capt. Henry Beaufroy, 1808 [Henry Benjamin Hanbury Beaufroy], originally published as “Scloppetaria, by a Corporal of Riflemen”
https://books.google.com/books?id=...BwMQ6AEIUTAN#v=onepage&q=scloppetaria&f=false is a nice drawing of a documented ball starter.

Here's his rammer:

I have made up a few of these for my own use and for sale. They are very nice to use and do have historical reference.
It has a solid 3/8 "brass rod with CURLEY ASH end piece. On this one I drilled and tapped a 10 X 32 hole so that, if you wanted, you could screw in a jag to accommodate a larger ball. I will ship this to you for $18.50. I prefer PP F & F or MO, Check or Cash.
