Do we have a chart that gives the ball weight of various calibers? What does a .75 cal ball weigh?

And in case you ever need to work it out by hand, an approximation is:

Weight in grains = 1502.6 x (Diameter x Diameter x Diameter)

Example for a .75 roundball: Weight = 1502.6 x .75 x .75 x .75 = 633.9 gr.

I will gather the info and make one, that sounds like a good idea...

The only thing I can for see as a problem is that the weights would be an approximate due to the variations from manufacture to manufacture...

I started to run one up till you get yours up but looking just at 30 cals .. 310/45 315/47 321/50 350/65 375/80 376/80? 395/93 and thats just 30 cals from one list,(the 2nd had 360 and 390) this would take the rest of my life to do, think I'll let you have the fun. Fred :hatsoff:

My pleasure... :hatsoff:

Special thanks to Claypipe for help on the larger bore sizes...

Whenever you or anyone else needs the chart again you can find it conveniently located at the top of the Shooting Accessories section, this way you don't have to search the General Muzzleloading section for this thread...
