Any body have any opinions on Birchwood Casey's "Sheath"?

I've heard nothing but good about it, but haven't tried it. If you use it in your bore, be sure to clean it out thoroughly before you shoot though. Some of the stuff combines with carbon under heat and makes the most disagreeable tar that's very hard to clean out.

I run a patch wet with Cleaner Degreaser down the bore before shooting to remove any oil residues and I haven't had any problems.

That'll take care of it then. I use CorrosionX in the bore for long term storage, and like you, I degrease before I shoot. Haven't had any problems with Ballistol gumming up, but I don't trust it for long term storage yet.
