Has any of you guys considered using an eleven degree barrel crown instead of a 90?

90o is no crown. 11o sounds a bit shallow. The crown on a ML is to allow easy loading, and an acurate exit for the ball. I have always had good results using a rotary file to a depth that looks "right" for the stated purpose.

I cone the muzzle on all of my rifles, which leaves a 90 degree angle at the muzzle, but the bore is now cone shaped for about three inches from the muzzle. I can start the patched ball with thumb pressure and ram it down easily.
