Barrel size and accuracy for a 58

This has probably been covered many times but haven't found any specific answers in the search.

For a 58cal round ball, would going with a 1 1/8" to 1" taper make a noticeable difference in accuracy vs a straight 1" 58? I should add, this is for a 36" barrel

Depends on your use, hold and balance.
Bench? Better
Off hand? Worse.
Unless the rear weight of the 1 1/8 add's to the balance.
See? There is no fixed answer to your question. Your intended use, with frame and stock configuration plays agasint the simple answer.
