Hey, nice bear!! I live in northern Wisconsin and bear season is going good now! Cool nights and leaves changing, great to be in the woods. I won’t get a tag for another year or two, lottery for bear. Congratulations!!

I could have went all day without seeing that. Not a bear. Looks like a DUI photo or possible plane crash. Seriously though some here, especially the ladies, will not appreciate the attachment.

The photo was removed but it was a picture of a man's face being removed by a bear. Not a DUI or any other thing.

Thanks guys, it was a fun hunt from start to finish. Kind of an interesting ending although wish it would have gone a little different. After the shot it ran off about 20 yards and then over an hour slowly moved off and bedded about 40 yards from my tree. I stayed in the stand for over 2 hours in the dark waiting for a death groan, in the meantime another large bear came in to the bait 35 yards from me, just after that a wolf howled for several minutes that seemed pretty dang close as well. After waiting 2 1/2 hours I decided that I would sneak out and retrieve in the morning. Had 2 guys and a woman come in with me and help with the retrieve, found it right where I heard it last. She was quartering a little to me and I one lunged and liver shot her. Wished she would have expired more quickly, but thankfully I didn't hit guts and it was a cold night, the meat is just fine. Ate the heart and tenderloins last night and they were superb!

I've never hunted anywhere but the south, I bet having all those large predators around really turns up the volume on a hunt.
