Bedford build nearly done

Based on an original by Samuel Border, this one is .50 caliber with a 44” Colrain swamped barrel. Sugar maple stock, kit built lock. I assembled the rifle after staining the wood to check function and sight it in. It will get several more coats of finish and eventually will get the patchbox and sideplate engraved. It’s a real shooter, and hits center at 25 and 50 yards without any sight adjustment.
