Bees wax & bore butter

Back when I got started, a friend showed me his Dixie catalog. I believe the mutton tallow mix was offered there and I knew a few guys who had some but did not use it with regularity. After seeing them use it, and sometimes cuss it, I determined I needed something else. Thus began the search for the right lube.

I melted 1/2 tube of bore butter with 2 ounce's of pure bees wax, and buttered up some .58 cal T/C maxi's and left them in my garage where 110 degrees is normal in AZ. The mix held up well on the maxi's, and the tube of bore butter was soup, so this mix is the way to go
