Belt buckle

Im having a really hard time deciding on which belt buckle i'd like. Im set on a 3" wide belt but im not sure if i want a round or square buckle. Anyone have some pics/ info?

It is going to depend on what buckles you are looking at (brass, steel, roller buckle, simple frame with center bar and single or double tongue, etc.) and, of course, and most important, what period you are looking at. I do wonder however, why you have chosen such a wide belt? 3" is very wide and, even if you are as thin as a rail and plan on staying that way, can be very uncomfortable in many situations.
