Necchi extended a hand of friendship to me and my daughter to visit his tent at the Bemidji rendezvous today so we went to see. We didn't take our rifles but once there, I wish that we had. Folks offered to let me shoot their rifles but I respectfully declined on the basis of "stage fright". Necchi found us and invited us to his camp, which visit we made as we prepared to leave several hours later. Two men were shooting flintlocks and I introduced myself to one of them and asked if I could observe and learn - spent at least an hour with him and learned a couple of things. Turns out that he lives about four miles from me and he has invited me to come shoot with him. Met lots of really nice people. Liked Necchi's tent set-up a lot - "homey" comfortable thing - made me want to stay the night to enjoy the fire and share his beans & weenies. Definitely going to the Perham (MN) rendezvous in August. I'm hooked. Baxter
