No not really. No musket caps on mine.If this is the over and under gun be aware that you may have to put in a musket nipple for musket caps on the bottom barrel to get good ignition.
That bottom barrel bas a loooooong flash channel.
What do you mean by it may need sealing? No not really. No musket caps on mine.
It may need sealing correctly though!
And don't ever ever get any oil in there!
Long and difficult to explain. What do you mean by it may need sealing?
The reason I mentioned the musket caps is that a friend of mine had one a few years ago, and he was meticulous about cleaning in detail, using pipe cleaners and flushing out the breech area with soapy water. In spite of his efforts he would start getting misfires with the bottom barrel after about 5 or 6 shots from a clean barrel, and then about every second ot third one after that. I suggested he try a musket nipple with musket caps. After the switch the misfires went away.No not really. No musket caps on mine.

Thank you for the information - I will take a close look at mine!Long and difficult to explain.
It's designed with an M10 grub screw drilled length and cross wise that is also bull nosed to form a flash channel.
If it does not a; seal at the bull nosed ends and it's threads, cap pressure is instantly lost and if it does fire there is huge gas leakage.
