For those of you that have a TC White Mt carbine 50, Whta are you using for a hunting load?

I use 90 grains of Pyrodex and a T/C Maxi-Hunter conical not sure of the weight but I think in the 350Grain range.

I use 90 gr pyrodex behind TC Maxi-Hunter 350 gr.for Elk and deer during Muzzleloader season, and 90 gr Pyrodex and Hornady 300 gr XTP Sabots during regular rifle season. (We can't use sabot's during BP here in Oregon)

i just bought a white mountain carbine with 1:20 twist. i'm casting lee REAL bullets 250 grains. my question is not so much about my load as i'm planning to work that up myself at the range, but i'm using bore butter and t/c reccommends against using a bullet lube with petroleum ingrediants. i tried lubing the bullets with bore butter but it's too thin. won't stay in the grooves. i'm open to any suggestions about this. thanks.

cool it, make it kind of like refridgerated butter consistancy,it will seem heavier, mold it around your conical keep it cool.after it sets a bit mold it flush with your fingers. after this your bullets can be stored at room temp.

:hmm: i'm probaly an idiot and i know i'm green but what's moose marrow?
