Best load for Lyman.50 Hunter percussion

I’ve just found and purchased the percussion.50 cal Lyman Hunter 1-32 twist. Looking for load recommendations for this muzzle loader with a conical bullet, will be elk hunting in Idaho.

The only way to know for sure is to shoot it. Try different loads. You won't know what yours will actually do unless you try different loads. I'd start with 70 grains and work up 5gr at a time.
