I have a friend who wants to order some black powder. I have never had to order it because I have always purchased my powder at Friendship so I am no help. Can anyone tell me the name of the place with the best prices so I can tell him where to order his powder? Thanks for anyone's help.

The best place is PowderInc.com. You can order it in 5,10, and 25lb. lots. UPS gives it to ya 3 days later. The price they give you already includes the Hazmat fee. 10lbs of KIK 3fff powder was $171.00 last time I ordered some.

I get mine from maine powder house

We did Powder Inc last fall, and some friends used them this spring right about the time of the fire.
Best price, hassle free, no hitch/no glitch.

Another vote for Graf and sons.
Several places I looked at required you to fax a signed form. When I decide who I wanted to buy from, the office manager where I worked sent it for me but I never got a reply - even after I sent an email asking if they got the fax.
Graf didn't require the form so I ordered from them instead. It was about as hassle free as possible. If I buy online again it will be from them.

Another vote for Jerry at Powder Inc. I have got from him for several years. Always good service at the lowest going prices! :hmm:

Hey Bill, I got some of Jacks Battle Powder. It seems to work just fine. Are you going to the shoot tomorrow?

Another vote for Graf's. I've been shooting their brand of black powder for years and it's good stuff. Never had any hassle ordering from them. I get most of my reloading supplies from them also.

Ive ordered from Graf several times now, always a good deal  and Ive heard several times now, Graf powder is just relabeled schutzen.

Hey Bill,

Another vote for Powder Inc I have used them several times, no problems and shipping is fast.

Graff's will send Caps and Powder under one Hazmat charge also. I trust them for all of my shooting needs. Their shipping charges are very fair on other items. Geo. T.

Any given brand of powder is the same wherever purchased, so that leaves price and service. When I shopped, Powder Inc was the best deal and their service was fantastic. Yes, they require a faxed OR emailed form, but it was no problem for the $$ saved. For example, right now if you buy 10 lbs of Goex 2F at Grafs it's $15.99/lb + 6.95 handling/insurance + $27.50 Hazmat fee. On 10 lbs, that's $194.35 delivered. Powder Inc is $18.30/lb @ 10 lbs for $183.00...save $11.35. At 25 lbs Grafs = $434.20 and Powder Inc $372.50.

Seems that the best place to order powder from would be the one who can fill an order.

I read NMLRA Muzzle Blasts and see Coonies advertisement, but never mentioned here how come?

I did business with Coonie before he died, nice man to drink coffee with. His family is running it now.

Thoughts?
