I have a friend of mine that is thinking hard on getting a flintlock smoothie for rabbits. I have the pedersoli mortimer in 12ga and it is ok, but I wanted to throw this out and see what your guys' opinion is on the best flinter smoothie for under a grand?

I appreciate your posts.
wess :hatsoff:

Agree with Rebel here. .62's are available from commercial and custom makers in many styles. Figuring out a style will be the first step. Good luck.

Dunno....haven't found one smart enough to hit a rabbit yet :shocked2: I point it right at the rabbit, but the gun has a mind of its own and keeps missing them :nono: :rotf:

i hunt with a .54smooth bore and find that 65gr3f an over powder wad 3/4-1oz of #6shot with a overshot wad works very well for rabbits or squrriels i have even killed a  pig with 70gr 3f and a .530prb at 40yds so a small bore will work well.
