I installed a set of Lyman European dovetail muzzleloader rifle sights on my Plains Pistol this afternoon. They fit just fine after a little safe file work. The white bead front and elevation adjustable white triangle rear are MUCH easier to see in dim light. I'll zero the pistol in the morning maybe. :)

Getting older is a wonderful thing. Some of the things that come with it are not and being able to see sights can be a challenge. I have opened the rear sight slot and painted a lot of front sights with the high viz paints and nail polish. Trifocals with a very low power upper or very low mag reading glasses help with sights but not the target. Wish you well with your sight change.

The new front sight is too short. Replacement on order.
I used a 1/8" round file and slightly lowered the rear sight notch. The pistol is now zeroed perfectly 1 1/2" high @ 20 yds.
