FYI, I just shipped a longrifle out today where the stock is full length (barrel alone is 42") and it was $75.80 to ship 1/2-way across the US, the $15 surcharge for an OVER-sized fee, and $17.60 to insure for $1K, for a total of $108.30. Yikes!

But get this ... that ~$76 fee is for the 2-day shipping fee, but yet it will take a good week (was told to expect 5 to 7 days or more!) IF they decide not to move it forward ... which means giving smaller packages the Xmas priority ... as is a heavy, long wooden box (Kibler-type shipping box).

I questioned ... WHY? do I have to pay $76 bucks for a 2-day fee if you are already telling me that it could be 1 to 2-weeks? They just laughed at me ... LOL! But the joke ... is on us!

My post office isn't delivering some packages because they don't have room in the vans for everything they get on a daily basis.

The last two packages sent to me never left the post office. They put a notice in the mailbox saying 'No secure location'.

I complained at the post office and was told that the higher ups won't send more help, and they won't pay the carriers overtime to get the work done.

The good news is, that if it is NOT delivered in the 2-day window you paid for you can get a FULL REFUND for your shipping costs from them!
