NH opens. Pheasants.

I'm going to go.. I found a new place not far from me I can make it after work.

I guess come weekends I could go anywhere in the state. They closed my favorite 2 places to go. I haven't gone since.

There stocking different now.. there no longer letting everyone shoot the truck.

I tried Maine Pheasant hunt when I lived right around where they were stocking. I think it's fairly new there.

They need more locations more.

But.. I didn't know anything on when they stocked I picked aplace and went each day..

I didn't see many people out there. And I got a birds or two each time.

It was nice.. I even put up a couple pat's but missed those.

I think it's better when they don't give any stocking info.

Massachusetts Pheasant opened.

This year they stocked some real nice big birds in the mix.

You can even tell looking at these two.. the bottom bird is big..

got another one of those big kawks

That bird took me for a ride Over 100 yards.

I think I've had about 4 or 5 good hard runners this year.

I still find it best to get a leash on the dog before reload.. she's good stays around nice but if she found one there's another.

75grns 3f .. 1.5oz #5

I was using #6. It works good to.

I favor the 5 over 6..

shot a rabbit with the same load. It was good.

I use the 4 overshot cards. 3 overpower 1 overshot.

been just cleaning with cooking oil patches and it seems to be a consistent loading nice loading. I like it better with a little fouling and lube mix..

nipple pick before I cap it for the hunt.

I was water cleaning it clean after every hunt and using nothing in the bore.

working on getting some scenery pictures together.

My daughter was with me a few times so I got good pictures of us also.

I would like a video of the dog running a nice birds like that.. she is very dramatic on the trail it's pretty. I'd have to maybe try not shooting one and just video it.

Just random..

When I take the 11 caps off.. the loose caps I put under the sweat band of my orange baseball cap.. keep them there for extras.

Other than having to take your hat off for a couple seconds.. it's a good spot.

Did a hunt a couple of years ago with my 10 gauge Pedersoli double on a pheasant preserve; the guide couldn't believe some of the shots I made........to say he was impressed was an understatement!
My load was 85 grains of FFg pushing 1 1/4 oz of #5 bismuth shot (preserve rules were no lead allowed).
