Black Powder in Dallas/Ft. Worth???

Does anyone living in DFW know of a source for black powder? In the past I had bought it from Alpine in Kennedale but it appears that they no longer sell it. I can order some from Graf's or Midway if I need too but I'm going to have to order it in a significant enough quantity to defray some of the shipping and hazmat charges.

I'm assuming DFW doesn't stand for Down Fresno Way............
If you belong to a muzzleloader club or have friends who are also into muzzleloading you can combine your resources, that will help spread out the hazmat and shipping costs

If you have to order online. Midway only charged 9 bucks for the hazmat fee and I think 12 for shipping. My last order was in November.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I've been doing business w/ Midway for at least 25 years and never had an issue.

I called the Schuetzen powder folks this afternoon. They are located in Arlington, TX and it turns out they will sell to the public. I will probably pursue this.

Midway charges about 12.00 shipping + 11.99 hazmat but limits orders to 2 pounds. Graf charges 9.95 shipping +12.50 hazmat 4 pound minimum.

It does. You just may not be using it correctly. It may not work on phones, that I don't know.

I've ordered from Midway for years and always had great service and quick shipping. Over the last 3 months, I've ordered alot of black powder and expecting 8 more pounds plus 2500 percussion primers tommorrow. You are only allowed 2 pounds per each kind of BP, so you have to order what you think will be worth the hazmat fee which is not that bad at all.

It does not work correctly. If it doesn't work correctly, it is about useless. It showed 3 places near me. None of them carry BP and haven't ever and one hasn't carried it for a long long time.

Heck I was just fooling around after the Down Fresno Way comment. My sister lives in Dallas. Been in the DFW area a few times.
